What is TriPeaks Solitaire?

TriPeaks Solitaire (also known as Three Peaks or Triple Peaks) is an exciting variation of the classic Solitaire card game, developed in 1989. The game is notable for its fast-paced, easy-to-understand gameplay, yet still requires strategic thinking and calculation skills. Unlike traditional Klondike, TriPeaks focuses on eliminating all cards on the table by arranging them in ascending or descending order.

Game objective

The objective is simple: eliminate all cards in the three peaks into the waste pile. You win when you clear the entire table before running out of cards from the main deck.

Table setup

A TriPeaks game consists of:

• Tableau: 28 cards arranged in 3 mounds
• Stock: 24 face-down cards used when you're stuck
• Waste: where played cards are placed

Only cards that aren't hidden can be used.

Basic rules

The gameplay is extremely easy to understand:

• You can choose a card if it's one unit higher or lower than the top card of the Waste. Example: if the Waste is a 6, you can play a 5 or a 7.
• Suitable for all suits (hearts, diamonds, clubs, spades).
• You can continue a sequence: K - A - 2
• When you have no more moves, draw one card from the Stock.
• Usually, you can only play the entire Stock once.
