This is a 2D action-adventure game in the Metroidvania genre, developed by Team Cherry. The game takes you to the underground kingdom of Hallownest, an ancient, fallen land filled with countless secrets, ghostly creatures, and forgotten stories.

How the game captivates players

Combat, movement, and growth

Your main weapon is Nail, both for attacking and opening obstacles. Through each journey, you will gain new skills such as dash, wall jump, double jump, opening many secret passages. Soul energy can be used to cast spells or heal, adding to the variety of strategies.

Challenging boss battles are a highlight, forcing you to memorize moves and adapt constantly. The feeling of defeating difficult bosses is part of the game's specialty.

Secrets, upgrades and replay value

The vast Hallownest is filled with hidden areas, side quests and optional bosses. Along the way, you will collect Charms to customize your gameplay, increasing your strength, defense, movement or healing.

Hollow Knight has multiple endings, depending on how much you explore, like Wacky Nursery. Free expansions such as Godmaster, Grimm Troupe, Hidden Dreams and Lifeblood add more depth and appeal to the world of Hallownest.
